planning documentsThe Hazle Township Planning Department reviews minor subdivision and land development applications. The board reviews and makes recommendations to the Hazle Township Board of Supervisors on major subdivision and land development applications, as well as requests for zoning changes. The Zoning Ordinance, Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance, Comprehensive Plan, and Stormwater Ordinance are used as guides in making decisions and recommendations.

The Planning Department consists of a board whose members are appointed by the township supervisors. They are appointed for yearly terms. Currently, the board is comprised of:

  • Director John G. Synoski
  • Advisor Joseph Marchese
  • Advisor Robert Fiume
  • Attorney Nina DeCosmo, solicitor
  • and Lee Ann Kasha, secretary.

Regular meetings of the board are held at 6 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month.

Special meetings may be arranged outside the established times and dates by calling the office.
